Books Are Where Our Story Begins.

Publishing is not simply one part of GOS Education. It is the foundation on which our educational system has been built.

Long before artificial intelligence became a defining technology in education, we began with a more fundamental task: creating the knowledge itself. We asked what mathematics should mean, what a mathematics education should ultimately develop, and what kind of books would be required to support that vision. From that work came an extensive publishing system built around a single objective—to contribute to a global standard for mathematics education.

We believe mathematics is the study of uncovering the secrets of nature. Mathematics begins with observing the world, identifying distinctive characteristics, discovering recurring patterns, understanding the relationships and rules behind them, and ultimately developing the ability to reason about what may happen next. If this is what mathematics is, then a mathematics book cannot be merely a collection of formulas, calculations, and predetermined exercises. It must become a way of encountering and understanding the world.

This philosophy has shaped the books we publish. Our mathematics content extends beyond numbers and equations into nature, science, technology, humanity, and society. It explores the forms and structures found in nature, movement and change, the emergence and disappearance of phenomena, and the relationships through which living systems survive and continue. At the same time, it connects mathematics with human history, culture, technology, and society. A mathematics book, in our view, should provide not only mathematical knowledge, but also the experiences and understanding from which mathematical thinking can grow.

This is why GOS has continued to build mathematics books across ages, stages, subjects, and educational purposes. Each individual book is part of something larger. Together, they form an interconnected body of mathematical knowledge—a library designed not simply to contain information, but to embody a comprehensive educational framework.

Our strength in publishing came before our expansion into AI and digital education. We built books before building algorithms. We accumulated educational knowledge before asking artificial intelligence to interpret it. We developed mathematical structures, explanations, relationships, images, questions, and educational content before connecting them through digital technology.

That order matters.

Artificial intelligence can process information, interpret language, and generate responses. But meaningful education requires something more fundamental: knowledge worth communicating. It requires educational content with depth, structure, relationships, and purpose. Our publishing foundation provides that knowledge.

What was created for the physical mathematics book and library market can therefore become the foundation for something much larger. Words and sentences can become structured Natural Language. Mathematical relationships can become connected knowledge. Books can become databases. Questions can connect to explanations. Images, sounds, videos, and real-world phenomena can become part of an interactive educational environment. And the accumulated body of publishing knowledge can support Math AI Algorithms, Large Language Models, Large Multimodal Models, IT-Based Math Books, DT-Based Math Books, and ultimately a broader AI-powered educational system.

The book does not disappear in this transformation. Its role becomes larger.

A printed book organizes knowledge into pages. A digital book can connect those pages to other forms of information. An intelligent book can respond to questions. And when interactions become data, the same educational foundation can begin to support different educational experiences for different education consumers.

This is why we do not see the transition from publishing to AI as leaving books behind. We see it as the next evolution of what a book can become.

Our publishing history has given us something that cannot be created by technology alone: an extensive body of mathematics content developed around a coherent educational philosophy. As we continue working toward a global standard for mathematics education, this body of knowledge serves simultaneously as a publishing library, an educational foundation, and a knowledge infrastructure for the future of AI education.

Before AI, we built the knowledge. Now, we are building what that knowledge can become.
